Mozilla's gross neglect as regards Thunderbird has made it a lame duck. There are far better alternatives available on any platform. It's a shame really - it WAS good and had great potential. If Thunderbird - the dead duck - should reappear, it has to be as something completly different than 2.0 or what I've seen in the 3.0x developmentversion so far. Implementing calendar function is barely a minimum.
