Too bad the OLPC isnt about FLOSS anymore.
Its ok, the EEE lines are supporting fully and ASUS will ship all its motherboards with embedded Linux.
Even Intel has stepped in with their Classmate line which runs Linux, so kids in the underdeveloped wont get the benefits of virus, spyware and such. The Classmate will do wonders in my country of Vietnam *using Hacao Linux.
There is something there about teaching a man to fish but you get the idea.
When the OLPC announced its project, it was a bright jewel for those in the FLOSS movement. With all that has happened in the past year on the Linux front, the loss of direction of OLPC has alraedy been forgotten.
