The user interface does not look slick or modern? There must be something wrong with either your computer or your eyes. Compared to openoffice it looks like years ahead: http://symphony.lotus.com/software/lotus/symphony/product_ss_wpe.jspa
Having tried it in both windows and linux i can only complain about the speed.
And as someone has said, if it´s another way to get ODF into peoples computers i´m all for it.
