I hope you didn't pay too much for that support because the offered solution is not relevant to this problem in the slightest. Rendering from the command line is not going to fix this problem of trying to share the Blender 3D app over VNC. DimDim needs to drastically improve their support before they can be taken seriously as an enterprise solution. Project management apparently also needs some help: accidentally removing support for features clients depend on is a big no-no and when it does happen, fixing the problem should be top priority. I can't imagine how quickly I'd lose my clients and my job if I were to pull this sort of bait-and-switch on my customers.
