Linux based phones has quite small penetration. There is not also significant consistent platform in a few next years.
Secondly Symbian based devices have been manufactured over 200 million pieces and within a few next years there will be 200 million more. There is already over 10 000 software and system integrators have already developed many business solutions based on the top of these devices. Its existing and huge business and that's why there is no any reason to try to kill Symbian.
Of course Linux based devices will grow and take market share but it will take many years before there is common platform and critical mass to make significant business.
