... Are you stupid? Barracuda's product, ClamAV, -IS- free software, released under the GPL... How would it have any "hidden" free software in it??
Furthermore, you should try actually reading the article before posting: Barracuda purchased these patents from IBM for the specific purpose of using them against Trend Micro. They are not patents that Barracuda themselves created. Barracuda's CEO has stated that he did not want to have to fight patents with patents, but that's how it works in the U.S., so if you want to stay in business you have to learn to play the game.
