I've had it on the n810 since friday with the only slowdown being extras. If you have the previous version installed with a lot of additional packages you include yourself, you may want to wait a bit longer until more of those packages are ported to the Diablo extras repository. My personal limitation is that I can't compile packages myself so I have to wait until the more interesting programs I use professionally make there way into updated .debs under extras or tools. The updated mail program will be getting configured tonight to pull my admin email off various servers under my care but everything else has been nicely done.
If you want to check out Google's new OS, you'll need 4.1 but installing the Android image takes about three steps after that.
Also, if you happen to dual-boot your N8x0 be sure to get the OS updates including the initfs-flasher and diablo-kernel-flasher packages before you clone the internal storage to an SD partition or you'll have to re-clone since those updates reflash the kernel and blow away the dualboot menu's initfs. It's not fatal, just something to keep in mind if you have a really non-standard setup like mine.
Maemo 4.1 is a fantastic update
