Yeah, just discovered Geany on my fedora system only last week. I wanted a quick way to edit php code without using the weight of KDE's Quanta plus environment. Does the job superbly, lightweight yet very powerful. I would recommend this to anyone. Wouldn't go as far as say its fully fledged IDE such as Kdevelop, Eclipse etc. but most people dont need these heavyweights.
