Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary says:
professional - 2 a: participating for gain or livelihood in an activity or field of endeavor often engaged in by amateurs.
hobby - a pursuit outside one's regular occupation engaged in especially for relaxation.
That's why I'm right saying that open source is hobby (in general), while proprietary soft is professional.
