Vista machines needs higher specs and Dell prefer to sell these. Dell could easily offer Ubuntu on practically any machine they are selling - probably they will have to do some minor adjustments as regards wifi/HSDPA, but that's all.

When they do their "Linuxfriendlyness" MIGHT become relevant. First come first serve...
