No, gOS 3 Gadgets BETA does not use LXDE. Not a single LXDE package comes with the live cd. You may test it yourself. Download the iso, burn it, boot it, launch Synaptic, click on Reload and search for lxde. You will see that none of the LXDE packages are installed.
