I've been using Ubuntu for some time now and have enjoyed it, but gOS is better. Not only does it support my wireless device as well as Ubuntu (I expected it would), it also seems to have the ability to play standard CDs without outside codec support (not sure about this). Anyway, it works well. Once I got my Nvidia driver loaded all the rough edges came off and the system works beautifully.
I don't consider myself to be a beginner or google gadget lover. This is an improvement on Ubuntu. Having the same repositories seems to be to be an advantage rathere than a drawback. I can have a slightly different flavor distro with all of Ubuntu's reliability.
