KDE 4.1.0 will not be added to Foresight 2 because of the reasons I outlined here: http://www.dragonstrider.com/serendipity/index.php?/archives/195-KDE-in-Foresight.html . As for the file system choices, you say that XFS is the only journalling file system, but the default, ext3 is journalled.
