The backup of your system, especially for people reloading it, seems to be a fantastic idea for the average consumer. However, building an entire distro (sub-distro?) around it seems a little bit silly. What would make more sense would be an application or daemon that is installed and runs on the major distros so that you can use the distro that YOU want to rather than the distro that THEY want you to.
