Epiware seems a lot more than the average document management system and, from a first look at the demo, expands into the realm of collaboration servers like EMC's Documentum eRoom, Alfresco or even MS Exchange.
For a document centric workflow, there's only so many ways of organizing and scheduling the tasks at hand, so this doesn't come as a surprise. Form a marketing view it might be a bad choice to focus on the DMS moniker too much - collaboration has very decent buzzword compatibility level these days. Wouldn't you agree?
