Regarding "turn-key" solutions -- I'm aware that they exist but haven't used one myself. One of the things I hoped to accomplish with the article was to show how the various pieces of email oriented software fit together. With that information, evaluating solutions like Citadel becomes easier.
Thanks for mentioning Citadel. For myself, one of the best things about articles like this is the comments section where other approaches to a given problem are pointed out.
