Hyperic also makes a fairly nice open source monitoring product which is worth looking into in my opinion.
On a side note - I've been researching various system monitoring options to replace or supplement my company's current solutions (Nagios and SiteScope, with an eye to replacing SiteScope). I would be very interested in seeing an article reviewing or comparing some of the other software thats out there. (Zabbix, Zenoss, etc)
