Personally, I was not thrilled with Groundwork Monitor. A former company I worked for was using Nagios and was setting up a GWM as a replacement. GWM is basically Nagios with a redisigned GUI and a different SNMP implementation. We were monitoring over 300 hosts over 3 different datacenters. Nagios 2.x was able to handle it fine. GWM had a problem keeping up with the checks with a machine that was about 4x as powerful as our current nagios implementation. We also were using the commercial version and had a support contract. The techs were slow respond and not always helpful. Also on a small side note, GW kept on sending us e-mails to try and buy there commercial product even after we were a commercial user. Rather annoying.
