Intrepid installed fine for me, but I ran into problems when attempting to enable 3d desktop effects with my NVIDIA card. Jockey (the app Intrepid uses to install graphics drivers) continued to freeze no matter how many times I tried to run it. EnvyNG had the same problem.
The default theme has quite a bit lacking. Wish Ubuntu came with a nice theme that wasn't orange. The Dust theme on the Ubuntu wiki (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incoming/DustTheme/) is really nice though...
