The description lists VLC as one of the applications that is pre-loaded. Since VLC uses multimedia codecs that are patented in the US, they would have to pay licensing fees (lots of them) to legally sell it here. My guess is they aren't. Since the EU doesn't recognize software patents, they should be fine selling there, though.
