Have a ball Leo. USB wireless can be a pain in Linux. First see if the kernel has a driver and firmware that supports it. Then if that option fails, ndiswrapper is something you will have to learn how to do. You might have better luck with the Mandriva one I sent as it should have a Newer Kernel.
In either distro , open terminal and type in: lsusb
to get info on chipset being used in USB Wireless. Make sure the USB Wireless is plugged in when you do this.
