Movie theaters adopt IBM/Linux point-of-sale application

Anonymous Reader writes: "Regal Entertainment Group -- operator of the largest U.S. chain of movie theaters -- has begun using new IBM point-of-sale systems and open-source Linux technology to serve millions of customers at its Regal Cinemas concession stands.
It is in one of the first and largest rollouts of Linux in the retail point-of-sale environment."
