Dell spins dual-core thin client

Dell has announced a device billed as the company's first-ever thin client design. The Optiplex FX160 has single-core Atom 230 or dual-core Atom 330 processors, up to 4GB of RAM, an optional 2.5-inch hard disk drive, gigabit Ethernet port, and available 802.11b/g wireless networking, says Dell.

i knew one day.. the bulky HD would be oblsolete...
with broadband speeds getiing better all the time we can stream anything we want!
i'd gladly donate all my HD's to data centers if they'd let me access my data 24-7!!!

I dont think you know what you are saying - Thin clients are for LANs ONLY. Cloud computing is one of the stupidest computing ideas i have ever heard. Why do you want some other entity to control your data? What about the rampant internet censor ship that is right over the horizon? Keep your data secure, say no to cloud computing.
