We can now guess, why is it that Firefox is the first in the list. Most probably because there are more bugs discovered (and revealed to public) in open software, and that the comparation includes bugs that are already fixed. So it's still the "dumb windows user" problem, not much related to app development itself.

It also seems that the idiot or rather MS whore, guess both descriptions apply, forgot the most used application that has the most serious problems that being the Microsuck browsers. "Microsoft: Hole exploit endangers all IE versions" guess he left this off the list because he is getting paid by Microsuck to direct attention away from all the crap that they put out and want the public to be worried about all the minor stuff by other vendors.

Basically it's a Bit9 article on 3rd party apps with security holes (which is why Microsoft is left out). It's like what the big three car companies like to do in their car commercials, they compare their products to other products not in their class or with such restrictions that their product can be the only winner (the Frod Extrusion gets better gas mileage than this dead Yugo that's stuck in quicksand, 33 mpg (meters per galaxey)).
