Subject : LINUX NEEDED HELP?
I am totally new to Linux and I want to learn how Linux can improve my working?I have worked on windows a lot so is using Linux for a bit problematic?I have heard that windows find it difficult to work with Linux.Can it affect my working speed?Is it too hard to learn using Linux?

Welcome to the community. :-) Linux can be easy or hard to learn, depending on what you start out trying to do. If you start out trying Gentoo for example, you would probably run away screaming. =P A good place to learn is here, at [url]http://www.linux.com/whatislinux/119700[/url] that link. A good distribution to start with is either Knoppix or PCLOS, available at [url]http://www.knoppix.com/[/url] or [url]http://www.pclinuxos.com/[/url] (I recommend the latter). If you like it, and want to install it, Ubuntu is a good distro to go with. You can get it at [url]www.ubuntu.com[/url].

A good place for help advice etc. is your local LUG (Linux User Group) http://www.linux.org/groups/ <- lists various LUGs around the world. LUGs are usually friendly, most have monthly meets (the local one here is a pub meet every second sunday of the month), and normally have people of all age ranges and experience.
