Wireless setup on a laptop
I have returned to linux after a long absence. I installed topologlinux which runs on Slackware 10.2 and has a 2.6 kernel. It's running well on my Compaq r3000 (not the amd 64 version). However, it won't recognize my wireless device, which is broadcom. I found a walkthrough for using ndriswrapper to grab the windows driver and use it but i still can't get it to work. In the KDE device list it recognizes the wireless adapter but i can't use it somehow. I'm quite the newb. Please help. Also could anyone walk me through opening up my usb pen drive?
