I have loaded the KUBANTU thingy; when I call it, the first screen, with a view of a colorful and pretty bird or something, comes on, but then I'm asked questions the answers to which I have no idea. This situation is the second reiteration of what happens when I call the program. During the first one, I got a text screen with three or four icons down the left side. Don't know how the colorful bird thingy got on. As you may see, I am completely lost and need help, PLEASE! Thanks, FLASH[url][color=red][/color]

I don't know for certain about Kbuntu but usually when asked a question there is a default box already checked, its probably safe to accept the defaults initially.Otherwise, you're probably going to have to provide more specificity about the questions and your system to get any helpful answers.
