Hi,Friends
I am new to this forum and need some help from you all.I have purchased new machine at my place but the problem is that suddenly my machine got hanged initially it got started and my antivirus was getting updated and suddenly it crashed down it was just as if it got hanged all things came to stand still.I tried to restart the machine and a message appeared :-
Windows could not start because following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32|CONFIG\SYSTEM
You can attempt to repair this file by restarting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.
But no use friends I have tried this too. What to do now?
Do I have to Format my machine?
Please help!!!

This is a forum for Linux help. The problem you are describing is a Windows problem. Maybe you would do better posting your question to a Windows help forum. As for me, I don't do Windows.

I'm moving this thread to the Miscellaneous Discussion forum since the topic is not Linux related.

redundant but you didn't really specify.
Did you repair your windows installation by booting with your install disk?

This is kinda like my first computer, I got a new one. theres really nothing you can do exept 1. Buy a new mqachine 2. Buy windows and reinstal it 2 1/2. Panic 3. get LINUX and instal that. or you could go to the people that you brought the computer from, if it has a warrenty, you'll be able to get it fixed.
