VIA Chrome9 HC IGP Video driver install need help

David	Posted : Sun, 20 April 2008 23:19:30 Subject : VIA Chrome9 HC IGP Video driver install need help I recently purchased an everex stepnote VA1500v laptop with gOS on it. It worked fine for a few days then the OS wouldn't boot anymore. Haven't been able to download a new copy frm their web site, but was able to get ubuntu working on it, with generic video drivers, at 800X600 screen resolution goes to 1440X900 plus would like to have 3d capablities . Uses the VIA C7 prossesor . I've been able to find drivers on via's website but have been having problems installing them. If anyone can help find walk thru on this it would be great.
