What Distro to use
Well i have been looking around and kinda confusted.. not sure what to pick..
iam a total newbie to linux. i have installed and looks at fedora and debian before but thats all....
what i need help with is picking the right one. well i have made a litle list to give alitle help on what i need..
list:
* Easy to setup as a file server with multiple hard drives
* Work with windows pcs in a network
* Easy to install a webserver on or have it alrady
* Stable
the pc thats gona run this is a almost new
2GB ram and a am2 amd cpu 2Ghz..
any help is very thankfully

I hate to say it but in the end most of them are pretty similar and can all accomplish what you are looking for. The big hitters right now are:
openSUSE
Fedora
Ubuntu
PCLinuxOS
I would say it is all trial and error at first. Test drive a few and see one you like. I have been using openSUSE for a few weeks now (was previously running other desktops) and have been happy with it.

okay... just one where installing new applications isnt hard.. know there are some u need to know where files need to go etc. dont want that advanced.. if u can see what i meen

What Distro to use
Almost all the distros. have very easy to use software repositories. Yum and apt, on Fedora/Red Hat and Ubuntu (an relatives) are my favourites. Literally for thousands of software packages, installation can be as easy as
yum install
or
apt-get install
