Subject : My Mobile Phone under linux
Hi it's my first topic here and i hope i will find my wish i wanna make a mobile applicaton under linux in this project i want to do : connect my mobile via wifi to mu labtop and give the computer complete access to mobile HOW??!! via my lab top i can make calles using speakers and mic all that via my card on my mobile or i can give any one on any other palce to access ,y computer via internt and make calles using this application that will use my mobile conected to computer ... etc can any one help me about that what programming lang U Recommedn .. ithink it will be java is this idea possible ??

I can't help you about exactly what you should do! But, Because of Different OS/Hardware Platform systems and related Compiler/Runtime/Libs, .. I thnik the easiest way for Mobile-Dev is : Java, that you said. I personally for fetching my Pocket-PC Office DB from my I-mate to Linux , worked around the Java ( with a few result indeed!) But I don't have any Idea around the C/C++. By the way there's an OSS based on Java IcedTea (OpenJDK) (lately was ship on Fedora 9) (thanks to Sun open project) Do you know it's just ported on SE, or fill ME and EE too? thanks alot [Modified by: vigol on July 01, 2008 06:40 AM]

im not an expert in linux at all, but i would have thought that your mobile phone would also have restrictions on what a person connected via wifi could do?
