hello everyone.. need a little help on my NFS, NIS server.. everything is fine except for one thing my NIS clients cant change their passwords... when a user login and try to change his/her password.. it gives an error yppasswd not running on master host.. i tried intering the command yppasswd it wont work either.. anybody pls help....

What happens if you try to change their passwords on the master? Is rpc.yppasswdd running on the NIS master? You need this daemon to allow password changes via NIS. ...corey

yes it is... i'd verified it on my NFS NIS server... its running... but still when clients try to change their passwords still yppasswd is not running on master host... i think host name is not resolve thats it errored but i dont know where to look....
