hi! well, very new to this whole story, see that every one has prety much had enough of MS and their BS any case got the DVD, and when in the disk drive can boot up from the disk drive and have a look, have backed up all my important files on a external drive, and am looking forward to switching, no dual function for me here is the big ques!! am using a Samsung mobile as a modem, using HSDPA for a connection with windows, loaded the drivers and created a connection and off I go, connected to the net! now need this connection, on a daily basis for work and play how will this work with Ubuntu, will I need new drivers from somewhere, as the drivers that come with the phones are basically the drivers for windows has someone done this before, all help will be appreciated thanx

hi... i also had a samsung phone, and used it for dail-up, the software i got with it was called "samsung pc studio 3" but it is unfortunately just for windows...maybe you can download linux drivers? see if you can get it here maybe: http://www.samsung.com/za/consumer/detail/detail.do?group=mobilephone&type=mobilephone&subtype=theultraedition&model_cd=SGH-U700MSAXFA coz i don't know what model of the phone you have, so i just guessed, but just choose your model there, and see if you find something from the "download centre" underneath "support. if not, try google perhaps hope you come right greetings, psypherrr
