However, someone has to be motivated to make that happen. Either a talented volunteer programmer, or the company that makes it, or someone who's willing to pay a lot of money to motivate a programmer to see it happen. That hasn't happened :-/. I guess the best bet is the Linux Driver Project: http://www.linuxdriverproject.org/twiki/bin/view But there's the Express Scribe software: http://www.nch.com.au/scribe/linux.html Have you tried this?

And you should probably install a later and more up to date version of Ubuntu. You'll have better luck with drivers and Wine.
