i hav installed RHEL5 on acer aspire 4720z notebook, but its X-window is not working. At first I installed a minimal installaton of linux with GNOME only. But X-window didnt work even afer [b]startx[/b] command, but it is showing the error message [b]XIO: fatal IO error 104 [/b] and then i installed it again with KDE, but it still didnt work. can anyone please help me out what should i do to resolve this issue.

My guess is that you need more than the minimal install.
