Hi buddies!!
Q-1 Is add or remove app option for only to remove applications?
Q-2 Can I not use this utility to add any application specified here... like- open office suite??

You can install or uninstall applications.
If it's not working properly, I suspect it's related to your problem with dpkg in the other thread.
