The bottom taskbar is missing. I have tried to go into network center but it won't let me. I can connect wireless. When it reboots, it goes into the aspire screen and then goes black and reboots again. Help!

Was it always missing or did you do something new and then it disappeared?

This happens to me as well. A work around I have used, if you are using Compiz install Compiz Fusion Icon. right click on the icon in the system tray and go to "Select Window Manager" and click on Metacity if that brings the Task Bar back go back and set it back to Compiz. I seem to have to do this after a log off or reboot and it seems to be related to the Screen Resolution I am using. Hope that helps.

Which window manager are you using - kde, gnome, xfce? I've had a similar problem on occasion with kde 3.x and if that is the case I might be able to help you get your task bar back. Also, do you have it on auto-hide so that it disappears until you mover the cursor to the bottom of the screen?
