i am trying to install MDK 10.1 on an emachines w3107 and it boots into the cd and then says there is no cdrom device detected. how do i get it to recognize my cdrom drive?

What is MDK? Is cdrom detected in Bios? Is CDROM 1st boot device in Bios? What operating system is it running now? Is it detected in your operating system? Does it read cds and play music currently? Is it a cdrw? Can it write image files? As you can see, We don't have enough info to troubleshoot your problem. Cheers.
