Go into your browser that you used ,when the page you went to ran the virus script. Open up properties and delete cookies and history. That should be all you need to do. Virus is only capable of running in Windows, not Linux. Look in your package manager, install Clam AV if you wish. Then let it run a scan of your drive. I have encountered what you have encountered browsing the web. Certain Web sites are infected with this script. Linux boxes have nothing to worry about with this virus or any other Windows exe. Virus. It just won't work in Linux. I let this virus run on my Linux box and nothing was affected. I deleted cookie history and temp files in browser just because. Be glad you were running Linux instead of Windows when this happened. To keep crap like this from happening in the future and to protect even Windows boxes from getting infected with these drive by malwares. Use Firefox Web Browser with No Scripts add on installed. You won't regret it. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 [Modified by: rokytnji on January 08, 2009 05:53 PM]

Windoze, the full employment act for software engineers! :^). Every upgrade (sic) they come out with, tonnes of software breaks! What maroons! Anyway, what the Rok said, I affirm. I also run ClamAV and the noScript Firefox add-in. I've never got a virus or trojan on Linux, and since I quit using IE for Firefox on Windows (with scripts disabled), I haven't been infected there either. There are only a few sites I visit that require IE to work properly, and I refuse to pander to their narrow view of the universe. I just make do without the "enhanced features" that you get with IE, such as viruses, trojans, spyware, etc.
