Subject :
Problems with booting
i got a copy of ubuntu and when i try to boot from the cd it keeps taking me to an error page....i was told that it was my processor but i cant figure out what to do

its an Acer Aspire with Vista Home Premium, intel dual core processor
and its unbuntu 7.02 i think, now the error message i dont remember ill have to try to boot it again

Try getting a more recent of Ubuntu pyromaniac. 7.02 is probably a bit too old now for your hardware.

As proopnarine said, get a more recent version. The current version, 8.10, seems to work well with most hardware. I have had the best luck with it on laptops to get the wi-fi working "out-of-the-box".
