An Austin based client is looking for a C++ Developer for a six month contract-to-hire opportunity!

Primary responsibilities:

The Developer will be required to maintain and enhance parts of a distributed system written in C++ and running on UNIX and Linux Systems

Be required to understand and implement complex command and control sequences involving multiple processes running on local and remote machines

Developer will at times be expected to support customers in interfacing with the system

The selected individual will be expected to provide support in resolving problems during testing and on deployed systems

Required Skills:

Required skills/experience:
5+ years of C++ programming experience (advanced level mastery)
Strong Unix background, especially Linux
Solid knowledge of STL and generic programming
Solid understanding of application inter-process communication (IPC)
Experience with application development tools, especially GNU collection (make, binutils, etc.)
