Subject : How do I restart the Synaptic package manager
I have Ubuntu 8,04 installed While doing an upgrade my computer froze and the update was incomplete It's telling me to run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. But I tried to run dpkg in terminal it keeps telling me commanf not found Because of this I can't do anymore updates can anyone help with this?

Are you running dpkg with root priveleges? Type "sudo dpkg --configure -a"

Sometime a re-boot helps when trying to sort out Synaptic issues. No idea why though.
