hi, can someone pls tell me how i cn use yahoo messenger on ubuntu 8.10. i want to voice chat, text chat and conference. will: 1)pidgin b able to do it, or 2)will i have to use wine, or 3)will i have to do something else? i would prefer using pidgin, cause i dont have to download anything. in either case, pls. give me step-by-step details on how to do 1,2 or 3 mentioned above, or atleast a link to it. thanks! pidgin will let you chat, but u will not be able to make voice calls. Using wine is a good idea, because that might be the easiest option. Skype is available for linux, if that helps and you can install it without using wine. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=205434
