movie maker alternative or making youtube videos with linux
Is there any software that is like movie maker but for linux? I want to make youtube videos, but I'm unsure how to proceed using linux. The idea I had is basically pasting together images and maybe some video and then putting some music in.

Search for pitivi, cinelerra, kino, and avidemux.

How-to for making a slideshow with Kino (see post #12): http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1010599&page=2 . Just for editing you may try Cinerella and also LiVES (this is one of the easiest but wont install easily in ubuntu) http://lives.sourceforge.net/
