Hi All, I wrote an article on Hiring and was being told that it needs some editing before it is sent for publishing. Can anyone tell me as to what should I do? Thanks.

You really need to ask the person who made the comment what they meant. However, usually when someone says that a piece of writing "needs editing," they either mean that it's too long, or else that it has too many typos and grammatical mistakes for them to consider it.

Thanks Nanday, I am copy pasting the part of an email, which said that I need to do some editing. "I've reviewed this several times and, while there is a lot of good information in the article, I'm afraid it will still take more editing work than we have time for. " And I was given the link to this forum in that email to get some help regarding that. Thanks again for letting me have an idea of what they might want, so I am going to re-read it and make changes and submit it again to see what happens next. Kind Regards.

If you are writing, it is your freedom to express, let the people understand it in their own way. Coz, you can't just keep on changing, There might be people who just complains. Best of luck for your writing.

However, for Angela (if she's still watching this space), as well as anyone else, this comment sounds as though the problem with your article was grammar and typos. Before submitting again, you might want to take extra time to edit your work, or maybe to have someone else edit it. Nobody's good at editing their own work; personally, I'm terrible at it.
