i downloaded the iso file and made bootable cd. i started the computer and the mitrax linux started to instal . after couple seconds i had a full desktop with DOS text and then stopped , just dos text on the screen and nothing else what is this....please answer

Hey Buddy! Only thing i can think of is that its the wrong version. ie 64 bit not 32 bit. Kind Regards

which distro? Some are text only, but in text only you can do a lot. try typing startx
