Sound Problems.
I am having a problem with my sound. It starts when I boot linux and get to the start up screen. The introductory sounds starts, and then it starts skipping and it doesn't stop. I have my computer on mute right now, but i'd like to listen to music later, ya know... actually use my sound.

120 GB (all in use with Ubuntu)

Any other specs?
When I open System>Prefrences>Sound I get two choices in the Default mixer tracks.
HDA Nvidia (ALSA Mixer), and Conexant CX20549 (Venice) (OSS Mixer)
