Subject: High swap... how to detect which process is creating that?
Hi All I am working with a Linux box with 24 GB RAM, and 18GB swap. Usually it works ok, but suddenly the swap used reported by top is high. 1422624 used nad growing. How can I know which pid is creating that swap activity. I see some processes that have high cpu% use, but they finish and the swap is still high. Thanks in advance Fernando

What do you need so much SWAP and RAM for? Am I even reading this right? 24GB RAM! Is this the peak SWAP use or does it normally stay at that level?
