Subject: Windows applications on Linux (Cubase) Help!
Hi, I am new to linux and am currenty running windows. I am looking to give linux a try and was wondering if it is possible to run all my old applications from windows on it? I have spent allot of money on recording software such as Cubase, is it posible to run these applications on linux? Which version should I use? also, can I use my current USB interfacs and wifi adapter? Thanks, Lee

Some windows apps will run using a program like WINE or Cedega, but for the most part, no, windows based programs won't run with linux. There is almost always on open source equivalent, however. All external hardware depends on whether their is a driver for it in linux, or whether you can run the windows driver using something like ndiswrapper. Most common devices should work fine though.
