Subject: Linux Mint
ok so I'm new to Linux, I only installed it yesterday, I'm running Linux mint using GNOME and I've seen some pics / head some stories about things like having multiple desktops that you can flip between (like a 3D cube style thing) and a task bar type thing like in Mac OSX and I've also seen use of things that look like sidebar gadgets / Mac Widgets
The thing is I don't see any of these on my Linux Mint, what I want to know is do you need to install these sort of things seperatly or do they come with different instalations "flavours" I think they're called?
If they are installed seperatly does anyone have a websites that lists them? or links to some favourites?

Welcome to Linux and Linux.com, Big_Belly_Bob. These links should get you going. The Mac like doc you'll get by installing Awant Window Navigator (first link). The 3D cube effect you get from either Beryl or Compiz (second and third link).
